Brett Consultant - Protective Security
Brett is a former Queensland Police Service (QPS) Detective Inspector, with over 41 years’ experience in major event management, counter terrorism, crowded places protective security advice, dignitary protection, investigations, and major and serious organised crime.
Brett recently led the State Planning & Protection Unit within the QPS Security & Counter Terrorism Command (six years), where he had responsibility for the delivery of the protective security for major events including 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, 2022 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, national sporting event finals, and also many operations involving visits of Royal Families, International Heads of State, and Australian State and Federal leaders.
Brett’s policing experience has assisted him to develop, (and deliver) a range of training packages for the QPS, to internal stakeholders, and external customers (including Queensland Cabinet, Members of Parliament, members of Supreme / District / Magistrates Courts, and Local Government Associations.
Brett is committed to partnering with Workforce Resilience clients to reduce risk, enhance protective security frameworks, develop best practice crisis and emergency management solutions, and build greater resilience.
